Youth Group Caroling

Youth and adults went caroling to our members who are not able attend church regularly. We had a great time and shared a lot of joy.

Baptismal Covenant Promises

Bishop      Will you continue in the apostles' teaching and

Confirmation Class

Starting on Saturday September 22nd at 4pm, Hilary+, the rector of our church will be teaching a class for youth who want to be confirmed or simply learn more about our Church and our faith. The class meets at church in the library from 4pm to 4:45pm on Sept. 22, 29; October 6, 13, and 20. Bishop Shannon, the diocesan bishop of Virginia, will be with us on Oct. 28th in the afternoon (time tba) for confirmations of youth and adults. Teens who are juniors or seniors in High School also have the option of taking the adult confirmation class that starts on Wednesday September 5th, at 7:30pm. The adult class will meet every Wednesday through October 24th.

Many of us were baptized as babies or really young children and did not get the chance to decide for ourselves whether we would be Christians or not. Confirmation gives us the chance to claim the faith as our own.

Youth Group's First Fall Event 2012

We are going gleaning at Marker Miller Orchard on Saturday September 22nd! Gleaning is an ancient practice of allowing people to gather remaining food from an orchard or field after the crop is harvested. We will be gathering apples that have fallen to the ground but are in good shape. If we did not gather the apples, they would go to waste. This way, people who need food but cannot afford to buy all they need, can have some of these apples. Youth Group is for all Middle School and High School youth and their friends. If you already attend St. Paul's on-the-Hill, great; but if you are new or don't go to church anywhere, you can be part of our youth group. We welcome all! Meet at SPOTH (St. Paul's on-the-Hill) at 8:30am on Saturday 22nd or meet us at the Orchard. Everyone needs to have a parent sign a release form for the Marker Miller Orchard.
